SJP Properties

SJP Properties is a private real estate company specializing in high-end, Class A Commercial office space across the NJ/NY Metropolitan area. We've worked with the Regional Facility Manager at SJP Properties since 2013 to help keep their buildings up with the current lighting trends and save on their electrical costs. They were at the forefront of the LED trend, installing LED fixtures just as they were starting to go mainstream, and have continued to upgrade their buildings. In some cases, we originally worked to upgrade from T12 to T8 years ago, and then again to upgrade from T8 to LED for even greater savings. Over the years, we've captured over $90,000 in rebates and incentives for SJP Properties.

Upgrading parking garages for big energy savings

In their most recent retrofit project, they converted their multi-story parking garages from T8 to LED lighting. Because parking garage lighting operates 24 hours, 7 days a week, the potential energy savings are huge. New LED fixtures also provide a higher quality of light for a cleaner, safer look in the parking garages. BriteSwitch worked closely with the Regional Facility Manager to ensure the products they picked met all the rebate program's requirements, filed the pre-approval and final applications, and helped schedule the inspections. This project received rebates and incentives that covered almost 20% of the new LEDs' cost and achieved an annual energy savings of $6,000 a year.
